Allan Holte has been involved in vocal music since his school days in Baudette, MN. He sang in church, school, and community events as soloist, choir member and in various ensembles over the years. Following college at Bemidji State University and prior to attending Bethel Seminary in St. Paul, MN and North Park Seminary in Chicago, IL he sang full time with a gospel group for 7 years and has continued involvement in vocal music. Music continues to be a special part of his life.
Allan is married to Peggy and they have two daughters and their families who all reside in Sioux Falls. He was an Evangelical Covenant pastor in Minnesota and South Dakota for 19 years and served as the Sioux Falls Veterans Administration lead chaplain for 15 years, retiring in 2014. Allan proudly served as a Signal Corps Army officer in the Viet Nam War and received two Bronze Stars. In retirement he enjoys driving his 1938 Dodge pickup and maintaining his home in Sioux Falls and a lake cabin in Northern Minnesota. He is honored to be involved with One Voice.
